High Holidays 2023

High Holiday Services Schedule

FOOD DRIVE- We have a food drive that happens throughout the year, but as we enter our Jewish season of Thanksgiving (aka Sukkot), we ask that you especially remember to fill our food barrels so that we may help local shelters. You will get an empty bag at Rosh Hashanah services, and we’d like to ask you to fill it and drop off food on or before Yom Kippur.

BABYSITTING- is available on RH and YK mornings and geared toward children in third grade and younger. You must RSVP to Mark with Parent and Child(rens) info.

NEW THIS YEAR: High Holiday Youth Programming for Kids in Grades 3-6

On the 1st day of Rosh Hashanah, parents can enroll their kids in a one-hour program of holiday-related games, art, and more designed to enhance the holiday experience.

Activities will be held in the school wing during main services. Reservations are helpful so that we can have enough materials on hand.

Just email Mark, orchadashadmin@gmail.com, by September 13 with your kids’ names & grades. Of course, kids can participate in services if you so choose.

RISE AGAINST HUNGER– Back by popular demand! This Yom Kippur we are doing our seventh annual feed the hungry program! After morning services, we will be providing an opportunity to directly feed the hungry. Sign up!

YIZKOR– Here is the form to fill out by September 10th: Yizkor Form
