New Saturday Morning Services: COC has Saturday morning Shabbat services the first Saturday of each month…. but the big news is that there will be NO FRIDAY NIGHT SERVICES ON THAT WEEKED!  That’s right, we skip Friday services the first weekend of each month and hope that you will take this opportunity to celebrate Shabbat with your family and community.

We would like to build a tradition within the Or Chadash Community of sharing Shabbat with other families.  If you would be interested in hosting another COC family for Shabbat Dinner, please reach out to Rabbi Kobey!

Friday Evening Services

Shabbat Evening Services at Congregation Or Chadash are lively, warm, and personal. Erev Shabbat services are held on Friday evenings at 7:30 pm (except for the first weekend of the month).  All services are family friendly and are approximately one hour long.

Periodically, we also schedule services with special themes such as a Meditative Shabbat, Camp Shabbat, New and Prospective Member Shabbat, and a Sermon in Song Shabbat.

Saturday Morning Services (*times occasionally vary, check calendar)

Shabbat morning services are held the first Saturday of the month and whenever we have a bar or bat mitzvah. These dates can be found on the temple calendar. The service starts at 9:00 a.m. with the bar or bat mitzvah leading the service.

Rabbi Kobey holds Torah study weekly. It is held at 10:00 a.m. if there is no Shabbat morning service and at 10:30 a.m. if there is a service. The torah portion and topics of discussion are listed on our calendar.
